Facilities Risk: Business Continuity

Women conducting a podcast on facility management

Ashley Goosman business continuity podcast

I was interviewed on Facilities Risk: Business Continuity for FMForward: Dedicated to the Rapidly Changing Landscape of Facility Management.  In this week’s post, I am sharing the podcast I did for the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) Boston.  FMForward is their new podcast series.

Podcast Introduction:

Do you ever get so caught up in the day to day needs of your building or office, and its functional requirements, that you forget to plan for when nothing functions?

Maybe you’re thinking to yourself, I’ve already got a business continuity plan in place – is this episode really for me? Or perhaps you’re wondering if you’ve covered all of your bases? Today we are going to discuss what goes into a business continuity planning, how to develop one if you don’t already have one, and talk with Ashley Goosman, Business Continuity & Crisis Management Specialist, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and we’ll conclude the episode with practical tips for ensuring your company survives and thrives beyond a disaster.

More to come!

I hope you enjoyed the podcast.  It was a privilege to provide building managers with an overview of crisis events and contingency planning.  IFMA asked me to come back to record a follow-up conversation on COVID-19.  This time, we are focusing on how to return employees from home to work. So,  keep an eye out!  I will post it when it launches.  In the meantime, I encourage you to check out my COVID-19 Pandemic Planning for Businesses post or the other blogs on this site.
